Our tableware is made from naturally fallen leaves from the Sal tree, in the forests of Jharkand, India. No trees are harmed during this process. No chemical pesticides and fertilizers have been used. Three Layers of leaves are hand stitched and formed into plates and bowls. Where other brands use plastic as an adhesive, we use natural fibers to stitch the leaves together. Plastic is indestructible. It takes from 20 – 500 years to decompose. It actually never fully disappears. It just gets smaller. Through our humble effort, we hope to contribute to prevent plastics from polluting our planet and oceans. Our design makes our plates lightweight yet strong. Our plates withstand moderate heat making them suitable for serving hot food and microwave safe.
